McKay is 1!!!!

It's been a whole year since this little guy joined our family and of course we couldn't break tradition by not making him a cake to destroy.  We decided to make him a sun cake and were hoping since he's a little more active and daring than the other kids were at this age that maybe we'd get a good cake destruction.

But after that initial touch, we quickly realized he wasn't going to destroy it.  

So we got him a fork to see if that would help.

He ate it and sure enjoyed it!

Then he just wanted to run away and try to get cake an frosting everywhere.

So we let the kids join in on the fun.

Don't get me wrong, he still made a mess.

But a cute mess.

We went out for the rest of the day and then for dinner we went to Culver's.

We are sure grateful for this kid.  He's kept us on our toes and there's never a dull moment with him around.  Love ya lil man!

McKay 11 months

We are almost there!  This little guy is almost a year!  It's hard to believe how fast the time has gone.  

 There really was no salvaging this photo shoot.  He was uninterested in any form of distraction we had.  So I took a couple out of the bed.

McKay 10 months

The progression of this one is pretty funny.  Kaders was uninterested in getting his picture taken, but we had other plans.

 And this my friends is why we have 2 people to do pictures.

Kaders 9 months

We've really become creative in how we get this little guy to sit long enough to get any shots done.  This time it was the binky and a bell.

 It didn't last long though

 We got at least one of his cute little toothy smile.

 But he was more interested in the camera than cooperating.

 And this was the best we could do.  legs were not going down for this one, at all!

 Especially when he found the cord blinds.  (Don't worry, this bed is not right next to the blinds except for these pictures because of the lighting)

 We had to get at least one bath shot.  These two love baths.

New Year, more fun! Randy and Micah's birthdays!

I can't believe I finally finished 2014!!!  Here we come 2015!  We rung the New Year in Andy and his family, even BJ's brother was in on the mix.  They stayed long enough for us to celebrate Randy's 38th birthday and then had to head back home.

 It was must have been Friday, looks like it was pizza night, lol.  Randy loves this pineapple cake my mom makes, so it has been HIS birthday cake for a few years now.

 11 Days later, Micah turned 10!  This boy is such a kind hearted soul.  He always wants to make sure everyone feels important.  He gives the best hugs and wants you to know he loves you.

 He also opted for an ice cream cake.

 Then he got to open some presents.  This was his favorite.  After playing with army guys so much when AJ is around, it was time to get him his own.  He had a few but this topped the cake.  He was so excited.

McKay 8 months!

I give up.  This milestone pictures are getting to be pointless.  There is no controlling this boy.  Oh well.  Here is is in all his glory.

 The one shot I could get with his legs, sort of straight.  It will have to do, cuz this is what I could get, haha!
