November. . .Thus Far

So far, November has been full of school stuff like Red Ribbon Week's crazy hair day. . .

 Mak didn't go all out because . . .
She had an Egyptian Funeral that day in school.  She got one of the top scores on her test so she got to pick the goddess that she wanted to be, which was Isis.  She really wanted to bring Masie as her baby, but Mase had 4 shots that day and had finally fallen asleep and I wasn't about to wake her for it.
Mak's partner in crime also got a high score and she wanted to be the mummy.  So we had to wrap her up. It was pretty hilarious.
 Mak comforting the dead, lol.
 Pretty sweet set up.
 and  the procession begins
Oh and Thanx Michelle for the costume, you are always my lifesaver.
Everyone in her class/grade was either a god/dess, mourner or the mummy.  They had a lot of fun with it and learned a lot,
Also this month Micah brought home the traveling tales backpack which meant we had to help Micah write a story and make a book.  She gave it to us right during a really busy time so we took a little longer to do it than we should have, but it got done and that's all that matters.  His book was pretty hilarious.    It was entitled "How Many Time's" and it was a reverse counting book where every day his mom told him to pick up different items in his room.  By the end of the week it was all clean and then on Monday it was a mess again.  It was pretty ingenious.
He also had a family traditions showcase yesterday where he shared a family tradition to the class.  He chose to do our nativity story on Christmas eve where we dress up and act out the story of Christ's birth.  I took my camera to take pics but Masie decided it would be more fun to blowout so we couldn't stay very long.

Halloween 2012

What a fun-filled crazy week we had for Halloween.  1st we carved pumpkins. . .
Made a huge mess and  came up with. . .
 These cute little things.
Then made ourselves really spooky with them.
 Are ya scared yet?
Then we had fun dressing up a few times for various things like. . .
 Parades. . . .
Trick or Treating with a cheerleader. . .
 A 50's girl. . .
A Froggit (much more fun to say than frog)
A Basketball Playing Singer (don't ask)
 And little Red Riding Hood.

We also went trunk or treating where Mak's bestie dressed up like her grandmother.  They were pretty hysterical.  And yes Masie is a bunny here not a froggit.
Some of my other favorite costumes of the night. . .Rosie the Riveter. . .
Mrs. Pots and. . . really not sure how Reese was suppose to fit the Beauty and the Beast theme. . .
Our nerdy neighbor.  Seriously stayed in character the whole time, it was hysterical. . .
Little Mermaid, Nemo and the "mom" is the ocean.  It was really cute, bad pic but really cute. . .
Pumpkin Head (if anyone watches The Office anymore, you'd know why I thought this was funny). . .
And Ralph Machio (well he didn't know he was the Karate Kid but I sure loved this costume)
Here's to a week of fun festivities and more crazy holiday fun to come.  Bring on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
