Morgan's 11!!!

Morgan's birthday landed over labor day weekend this year and so we decided to make a fun weekend out of it and go visit our friends, the Jorgensen's (or the Matney's if you talk to Makahil) who live only 2 hours away in Louisville.  When we found out we were moving to Indy, we were so excited because they had just moved to KY about a year before.  Neither of us had family that close anymore and since we have considered each other family, it made it much that better.   We tried to go down whenever we could and Morgan's birthday happened to be one of those weekends.  This first pic was after Morgan's middle school shots.  She had to get them a year earlier than McKenzie since middle school starts in 6th and not 7th in Indy.  This was her pretend sad face.  She was a trooper and didn't cry at all.

 We tried to do some fun things for Morgie's bday.  We went to little farm/zoo thing.  They had all sorts of animals to see. Taylor was a little terrified of the chickens getting too close.

 Of course we had to have a cake.

 We also headed to the Louisville Temple after church to check it out.

It was a fun weekend, thanks Matney for letting us celebrate with you!!!

Malia's 7!!!

This little girl turned 7!!! Unfortunately for her, it was a school day.  It was still a fun day.  I made her, her pancakes...

And she wanted a tiered cake.

 And at the end of it all she got a new bike.  She was pretty excited to have to squat anymore to ride her bike.  

This girl is growing up before our eyes.  I sure love this little girlie!!

3 months

Our lil dude is already 3 months

 He is a fun boy.  The kids love to hold him and play with him.  Now if we can just get him to sleep longer, lol.

1st Day of School 2014 (ALREADY!!!)

Yes you heard that right, just as quickly as school ended in Utah, it was going to start in Indy.  Our school district in Indy was not a year a round school but pretty close.  They were on for 9 weeks off for 2 week track until summer, then they would get 8 weeks off.  So this meant my kids had 8 weeks of a break after going to school non stop (besides small breaks here and there).  To say they were less than enthusiastic for the first day of school is an understatement, but we survived and they got over it.  This year Morgan and McKenzie were in the same school since it was a middle school and not a junior high.  Unfortunately for Morgan, Kenz was sick the 1st day so Morgan had to brave 6th grade in a new school, not knowing anybody, all by herself.  We were very proud of her.

 Malia started 2nd grade 

 And Micah started 4th grade.

 And they are off.  They all had a great 1st day of school!

 The next day, Kenz was feeling well enough to start her first day of 8th grade.

 Here's to another year.  Time needs to slow down, these kids are growing too fast.

Close-r to family

Moving away from family was really hard but we found out that we would only be 5 hours away from my brother Andy his family we were really excited.  They are stationed in Tennessee for the moment and we wanted to take advantage of that so we tried to get together as often as we could.  they came up near the end of July to hang with us.  Cousin's are the best!  We did a lot of playing in the backyard.

Masie's 2!!!

We quickly made some friends in our new ward and were invited to a 4th of July party at their parents house.  Of course we had to celebrate Masie's Birthday while we were there so I offered to make some cakes, and of course it's the 4th of July so I HAD to make them patriotic.

 Our cute little firecracker!  Hard to believe she's 2!

 I'm so glad I got this pic.  This was one of the first times that Masie met Aww-Bee (Aubrey).  They became best buds and would ask for to see each other all of the time.  Age didn't matter, they just loved to play together.

Little Kaders is 2 months!

So McKay's 1 month pics were his blessing shots so I tried really hard to keep up on these milestone shots.  Since this is 2 years after the fact, I won't be able to remember all of the things he was able to do at the precise moments but at least there will be cute pics of our little boy!
