Masie's 4 months

Here we are almost 5 months and I am not just posting this.  Man I love the holiday's (sarcasm included, lol)
I did take these when she turned 4 months and I will take more shots next week, we'll see if I post them right away or not.  I guess it really depends on weather or not Blogger decides to stop being retarded saying that my storage is full :(  Anyway, here is our cutie
As you can see, she moves a lot, notice her legs are blurry?  She's just like the rest of the kids, can't sit still to save her life.
She's been more inquisitive lately.  Watching everything and everyone.
She's also really found her voice.  She's squealing here, it can get pretty loud.  Oh and she also started growling and it was cute at first until she started doing while she cried.  Now, not so much.
She does however give the best smiles ever.
Notice the "O" moving down.  That was because she was kicking in so hard that the letters started moving around.

Getting a little excited.  Love when she makes this face.
We gave up on the blocks and just let her got at it.
crazy baby.
She's not really standing up.  She's just laying sideways in her bassinet and had her feet pushed against the side which gave this shot a cool affect.
Stats
*12 lbs. 9 oz.
*25 inches
*Still doesn't sleep through the night (grrrrr)
*Still pukes a lot, we now have her on Previcid and it seems to helping, but she still has her moments, usually all over Randy, lol.
*Tried rice cereal for the 1st time to see if that would help with the vomit.  She likes it, we don't give it to her very often because it doesn't seem to help.
*Loves her baths
*Loves to watch the kids
*Usually takes good naps still
*Loves our morning walks with my walking buddies, that's usually when she gets a really good nap.  Sad that the weather is getting colder and that soon will stop.
*She giggles but no one has been able to get her to full on laugh for a long time yet.  We'll get belly laughs out of her but they usually don't last very long.
*Blows out of her diaper on a regular basis, looking forward to more solid poos (kinda)
*She likes to be held and will only tolerate a toy (like johnny jump up or exersaucer) for a short amount of time
*SHE'S ROLLING!!!! She's been rolling from her front to back since a couple of weeks and she learned this month to get from her front to back.  Yesterday was the 1st time she's moved across the room.  This kids is growing up too fast.  The nice thing is I can leave her on the floor a for longer cuz she not stuck in one spot very long and doesn't get bored.  It's been fun to watch her.

Anyway, enough of boring stuff.  Can't wait to see what 5 months brings.

November. . .Thus Far

So far, November has been full of school stuff like Red Ribbon Week's crazy hair day. . .

 Mak didn't go all out because . . .
She had an Egyptian Funeral that day in school.  She got one of the top scores on her test so she got to pick the goddess that she wanted to be, which was Isis.  She really wanted to bring Masie as her baby, but Mase had 4 shots that day and had finally fallen asleep and I wasn't about to wake her for it.
Mak's partner in crime also got a high score and she wanted to be the mummy.  So we had to wrap her up. It was pretty hilarious.
 Mak comforting the dead, lol.
 Pretty sweet set up.
 and  the procession begins
Oh and Thanx Michelle for the costume, you are always my lifesaver.
Everyone in her class/grade was either a god/dess, mourner or the mummy.  They had a lot of fun with it and learned a lot,
Also this month Micah brought home the traveling tales backpack which meant we had to help Micah write a story and make a book.  She gave it to us right during a really busy time so we took a little longer to do it than we should have, but it got done and that's all that matters.  His book was pretty hilarious.    It was entitled "How Many Time's" and it was a reverse counting book where every day his mom told him to pick up different items in his room.  By the end of the week it was all clean and then on Monday it was a mess again.  It was pretty ingenious.
He also had a family traditions showcase yesterday where he shared a family tradition to the class.  He chose to do our nativity story on Christmas eve where we dress up and act out the story of Christ's birth.  I took my camera to take pics but Masie decided it would be more fun to blowout so we couldn't stay very long.

Halloween 2012

What a fun-filled crazy week we had for Halloween.  1st we carved pumpkins. . .
Made a huge mess and  came up with. . .
 These cute little things.
Then made ourselves really spooky with them.
 Are ya scared yet?
Then we had fun dressing up a few times for various things like. . .
 Parades. . . .
Trick or Treating with a cheerleader. . .
 A 50's girl. . .
A Froggit (much more fun to say than frog)
A Basketball Playing Singer (don't ask)
 And little Red Riding Hood.

We also went trunk or treating where Mak's bestie dressed up like her grandmother.  They were pretty hysterical.  And yes Masie is a bunny here not a froggit.
Some of my other favorite costumes of the night. . .Rosie the Riveter. . .
Mrs. Pots and. . . really not sure how Reese was suppose to fit the Beauty and the Beast theme. . .
Our nerdy neighbor.  Seriously stayed in character the whole time, it was hysterical. . .
Little Mermaid, Nemo and the "mom" is the ocean.  It was really cute, bad pic but really cute. . .
Pumpkin Head (if anyone watches The Office anymore, you'd know why I thought this was funny). . .
And Ralph Machio (well he didn't know he was the Karate Kid but I sure loved this costume)
Here's to a week of fun festivities and more crazy holiday fun to come.  Bring on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

BYU Homecoming 2012

Since we are still here in the great state of limbo, I mean Utah, we've decided that we need to take advantage of all of the fun things to do around here just in case we actually do find a job and leave.  BYU's homecoming was during our Fall Break this year and so it was an awesome weekend, so we decided to make our annual trek down the hill to the free pancake breakfast and homecoming parade.  This year we mentioned it to the "Matney's" and they decided they wanted to brave the cold and lines with us.  We got our blue pancakes and found a spot and ate.
Can ya tell they were yummy?
 Mmmmm tasty.

While the "Matney's" were standing in the pancake line, Randy and I went down the street to stake out our spots for the parade.
Love this view of the "Y"
Then the parade started and the kids were sooo excited.
Especially when their buddy Cosmo came and high-fived them

This Homecoming was extra special because they were playing our beloved BEAVERS.  Randy grew up in Corvallis and that is where we met while I was attending OSU.  So we were a little torn on who to root for, so we wore our BYU gear, but really wanted OSU to win.  Randy had even been planning on attending the game way before he found out it was homecoming.  So when the BEAVS started kicking their trash we were ecstatic that BYU was losing their homecoming game, sad but ecstatic for our home.  We thought the nursing schools float was pretty funny,
Bet you can't guess who's favorite float this was?  Micah eyes were glued to this float.
Sorry Cougs for the loss, but we sure had a fun cheering you on.  It was a beautiful fall morning.
